Juan Carlos Argüello ¨MUELLE»  

On the ocassion of the 50th anniversary of Juan Carlos' birth and due to the Campamento neighbours' initiative, on October 17th of 2016 one of the most important tributes to Muelle takes place with the naming of a public space in Madrid after his name.

The chosen place was a plaza in his native neighbourhood of Campamento, a escasos metros de la casa dónde vivió Juan Carlos, la cual lucía un quiosco de prensa decorado con el rostro y la firma de Muelle desde hacía seis años.  Dicha plaza fue bautizada con el nombre Jardín Juan Carlos Argüello «Muelle».

This tribute paid by the City of Madrid is even more relevant, if possible, considering that Juan Carlos is, perhaps, the only graffiti writer in the world that has a public space named after him.

In the summer of 2019, once the area's pedestrianization and remodeling works were finished, the small plaza was extended and rebaptised in Madrid's street guide as Plaza de Juan Carlos Argüello «MUELLE».

El 14 de octubre de 2021, el Ayuntamiento de Madrid aprobó por unanimidad la instalación de un elemento que «resalte la figura del homenajeado» en este espacio público. Este homenaje se llevará a cabo cuando finalice el soterramiento de la Carretera de Extremadura, que incluirá una gran ampliación y peatonalización de la plaza.
